My comp is screwed up, the computer froze so I restarted it by pushing that penhole in a minute my monitor wont dance on?

My computer is an XP (It be a 2000 before) and when I pushed that little button on the computer that restarts it.. and the mouse and monitor does'nt work when they're plugged in... PLEASE HELP and give an account me what to do! Thanks!
