My compact disc Player works, but it doesn't want to read my files from both notes and compact disc automatic. what do i do?

Prior to the desktop wallpaper press i asked, i want to know what i can do for the CD player to read my CD's automatic in need having to budge to Windows Media Player to play the songs manually and for the CD drive to read the information automatic.
