my computer go insensible, near the monitor peak turning into a white "floodnight" and wouldn'tgo away.

restarting or shutting down didn';t get the floodlight go away. the just way is to unplug the system. how can the problem be remedied and is it worthwhile trying at adjectives? should i consider buying a new appliance? what brand if you think i should? (a friend said it could be a problem near the hardware.)

Answer:

When i had this problem it be because of the cord not being plugged adjectives the way into the monitor you might try checking your cords. If your set on buying a brand new computer though Dell is a good brand. Anyways hope this help.
Your friend is correct, the problem is your graphics card. The fan have probably stopped spinning or the card itself may be going bad. I don't consider you should consider buying a new domestic device but invest in a better graphics card they are a dime a dozen now and you can find some really cheap buys on ebay.
Have you tested the pc on another monitor, or the monitor on another PC? If you are getting a floodlight it sounds close to the monitor is working fine. It could be that the PC has accidently set itself to a resolution that the monitor can't fiddle with. Don't go scrap them just however
There may be problem on your motherboard (display adapter)

install your system with another motherboard
on your computers control panel be in motion to monitors and proprieties
