My 15" flat eyeshade monitor shows near a green fog, how can I solve that problem?

It's an hp pavilion f50 monitior. I discovered ants running along the cord to the monitor and I get rid of them. There after the green haze appeared.

I doubt that the ants had anything to do near it. Might be the way you get rid of them. Personally, I'd throw it out and get a 17 or 19" monitor. Other than that try adjust the color controls.
sounds like a power surge cheaper to replace the monitor than to hold it fixed.
Check your cable connection to both the PC and the monitor. IF that doesn't fix it try checking the connectors themselves. Ants are small possibly one got caught and shocked cause a change within the signal. Clean the connectors with for a while compressed air. If it's still a no shift try this step if possible. Plug surrounded by another known well-mannered monitor if you have one. If it works consequently it is your monitor. If it does the same entry then it's your video card or worst armour cenario both. Test teh old monitor on another system as ably to verify this. Contact manufacturers if you are still beneath warenty.
