Monitor will not come on. Compatibility problem?
Answer:
Check to engender sure the monitor is getting power. Does the light come on? if it does it's not a compatibility problem (no such thing). Try a different monitor. Cable pins could be bent or broken on PC or cable. If monitor #2 doesn't work next it's your PC.
Did you connect it to the proper port in the hindmost of the tower ? Did you push the power button on the front of the monitor ?
I have a short time ago got such a problem myself. I bought a topical LCD monitor and plug it to an old illustrative card. I can see the good picture when the setting of the display deity in control panel is set to 1080X768. If I set it to anything better, the monitor screen verbs.
Older display card may not support the resolution of newer monitor. Ever if it says it support illustrious resolution values like 1600x1080, it may not support the bright wide blind resolution 1440X900.
Use another monitor to set back the display to a lower resolution for trial purpose, past you put your testing monitor on.
You may call for to re-run the set-up CD of the symbolic card to confirm this point.
