I'm thinking of buying an HP f2105. I know what the monitor response time is, unanimously, but I can't find a consensus about the HP f2105. The inventive specifications from the HP website list it as have a 16 ms response time, which I feel will be a bit slow for my use. However, on most websites, the response time is rate as "Optimization Plus for up to 12 ms." Further research on the HP website reveals the official specs sheet for the f2105 as have a response time of "up-to-8ms."
What's up with the "up-to" times? I thought that response times be fixed for LCDs. Also, I also thought that response times were binary, connotation that you can get 16 ms, 8 ms, 4 ms, etc, but none of the numbers contained by between. Could someone please clarify all of this?
