Monitor suddenly won't display.Bought a untried monitor, powers on,Windows runs but no display.Dead graphics card?

Compaq 5003 US. Original monitor go and was replaced. Working fine, even upgraded the graphics card to ATI Radeon 9250 6+ months ago. Computer be moved to a new room. Turned the system on and no display on the monitor. Power wispy on and changes from amber to green after back to amber, sounds approaching Windows is loading but no display. I assumed the monitor had died so I bought a modern one (LCD Flat panel). Same result (no display) except power light go from amber to green and stays green. Is this a graphics card issue?

Answer:

Assuming your monitor input cord is attached to your graphics card...

I would boot up the computer in not dangerous mode, and attempt to reinstall my graphics card from there. It's probably as simple as that. Before you do that though, at hand is a slight chance your computer might construe you're running dual displays (two monitors side by side)

To check, go into protected mode again (you're doing that so that your monitor will work..) and go into display properties. Click on the settings tab. You should see two squares that represent two monitors. Make sure simply one is selected, and that it is your primary monitor. Hope this help..
maybe your graphics card is not compatible beside your OS
pls. check out your pc nouns maybe the video card is loosened when you verbs your computer to another connection or you connect surrounded by inverted position ,
